Women's Soccer Unable to Complete Comeback at Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bowdoin women's soccer team could not complete the late comeback and fell 3-2 to Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears drop to 4-3-0 (0-3-0 NESCAC), while the Cardinals remain perfect at 5-0-0 (3-0-0 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Wesleyan struck with a pair of quick goals in the 19th and 21st minutes. Audrey Lavey accounted for both tallies, combining with Grace Devanny.
  • Jade Cromwell cut the deficit to one eight minutes later. Only to have Kate Hausladen make it 3-1 with under two minutes left in the first half.
  • Jamie Lau netted Bowdoin's second of the game 18 minutes into the second frame.
 
By the Numbers
  • Wesleyan held a slight 16-13 edge in shots. Both teams earned five corner kicks.
  • Alex Arndt made five saves, matching Wesleyan's Sarah Hammond.
