Women's Soccer Nets Four Second Half Goals in Win at Saint Joseph's

STANDISH, Maine – The Bowdoin women's soccer team scored four second half goals to defeated Saint Joseph's College 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears remain perfect in non-conference play and climb to 4-2-0. The Monks are 3-4-0 on the year.
 
Game Highlights
  • Despite controlling play through the first half, Bowdoin was unable to strike first in Sunday's game. In the 31st minute, Madison Michaud dished a pass to Shauna Clark just outside to box. Clark fired a shot to the left side of the net and gave Saint Joseph's the 1-0 lead.
  • Bowdoin broke the floodgates open 18 minutes into the second half. Lo Hoglin took a point-blank shot that was initially turned away, but the sophomore found the rebound and netted an equalizer.
  • Greta Farkas, Julia Adelmann, and Isa Quintana accounted for the three remaining goals.

  • Bowdoin held a 46-6 edge in shots and 3-0 corner kick advantage.
  • Adia Grogan made 23 saves for the Monks. Penny Rocchio and Alex Arndt split time for the Polar Bears and reach made a pair of saves.
