BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College Athletic Department is set to host its first indoor sporting events of the fall, with the volleyball team hosting Wesleyan on Friday evening (7:00 p.m.) and Conn. College on Saturday (2:00 p.m.).
Capacity for Morrell Gymnasium will be limited to 500 fans and, in advance, spectators are asked to be aware of the following rules and regulations regarding indoor sporting events at Bowdoin.
Bowdoin Guidelines for Indoor Competition Venues:
- Fully vaccinated spectators 12 years of age and older are permitted at indoor events
- Public health officials consider an individual to be fully vaccinated two weeks after their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
- Spectators will be required to show proof of full vaccination in one of three ways prior to entering campus buildings:
- Registering for campus events through the Health Pass by Clear App
- A CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card
- A photocopy or mobile photo of a CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card and valid photo ID.
- Spectators will be required to mask while indoors
- Due to current CDC age limits on vaccinations, individuals under the age of 12 are not permitted at indoor events
- Tailgating and post-game team gatherings with spectators will not be permitted until further notice. This includes
- Single or multi-family pre- or post-game tailgates
- Team gatherings with parents, spectators, etc. prior to or after contests
- Please plan to arrive for an event, enjoy the contest, and depart in a timely fashion
Parking
Additionally, due to the construction of the new Mills Hall and Gibbons Center for Arctic Studies, parking has been limited in the area of Morrell Gymnasium. Spectators should refer to the Campus Parking Map for the nearest parking location.
