BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's soccer team scored a pair of second half goals to pull away from Husson University in a 3-0 decision on Tuesday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (3-0-0), who jumped to 11
th in the NSCAA Division III rankings released today, remained unbeaten on the year while the Eagles (3-1-1) drop their first game of the 2021 campaign.

- Drake Byrd got things going early for the Polar Bears, as Matthew Braver drew a foul in the box by a Husson defender just nine minutes into the contest. Byrd calmly stepped up to the dot and deposited a penalty kick to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage.
- Bowdoin out-shot Husson 8-3 in the opening frame but couldn't add to their lead, carrying the slim, one-goal edge into the break.
- After an initial push by the Eagles to find an equalizer came up empty early in the second stanza, Bowdoin put the contest away with a pair of pretty tallies.
- Set up on the right side of the box Byrd crossed a low ball to the foot of Charlie Ward, who put home his second goal of the season at 67:35.
- Minseo Bae knocked in his second goal of the year at 82:52, inside the left post off a perfect feed from Alex Chaban down the right wing to close out the scoring.
