Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men's Hockey Loses 3-1 at Colby

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Bowdoin men's hockey team fell 3-1 to Colby on Saturday night.
 
The Polar Bears are still in search of their first win and drop to 0-4-1 (2-2-0 NESCAC). The Mules improve to 2-2-0 (1-1-0 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • James Klein gave Colby a late lead in the end of the first period, scoring with 1:12 remaining.
  • Bowdoin tied the game quickly in the second off a power play goal by Ethan Kimball. On the power play, Bowdoin circled the zone with Luke Wheeler backhanding a pass to Kimball on the right circle. Kimball wristed a shot to the far post.
  • Colby regained the lead seven minutes later. The Mules capped the game with a third empty-net goal with under two minutes remaining in the third period.
 
By the Numbers
  • Alex Kozic suffered the loss in net with 30 saves.
  • Andy Beran made 16 stops for Colby.
  • Bowdoin went 1-for-4 on the power play.
  • Colby was 0-for-5 on the power play.
