WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - The Eastern Connecticut State University men's basketball team used red-hot shooting in the first half to defeat Bowdoin, 86-64, on Friday afternoon on the second day of the Eastern Conn Holiday Classic.
The Polar Bears fall to 8-4 this season with the setback. The Warriors improve to 7-4 with the win.
Game Highlights
- The Warriors shot 56% from the field, including seven three-pointers, and held Bowdoin to just 34% from the field in the opening half of the game.
- Bowdoin stayed within striking distance, early, and was down just five points (21-16) midway through the period.
- ECSU rolled off a 9-0 run to increase their lead to double digits and pushed their advantage to 21 points at the break, 48-27.
