Bowdoin Volleyball Ready to Host NESCAC Championship This Weekend

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin volleyball team pulled out a five-set victory over Bates on the final day of the regular season to grab the top seed in the 2021 NESCAC Volleyball Championship.

Bowdoin will host all rounds of the tournament starting with quarterfinal matches on November 5. The semifinal and championship matches will be played on November 6 and 7, respectively. All matches will be carried live by the Northeast Sports Network.

The 2019 NESCAC Runner-Up, Bowdoin is the No. 1 seed and will host the NESCAC Championship for the second time since 2018 and fourth time overall. The Polar Bears will match up against No. 8 Hamilton in the quarterfinals on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. Bowdoin swept the Continentals, 3-0, on October 2 and the two teams have never met in the NESCAC Championship

Bowdoin has qualified for the NESCAC postseason 19 times in 22 years and have played in nine straight semifinals and the last two championship matches. The Polar Bears enter the tournament riding a seven-match win streak overall.
