BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team couldn't dig out of an early hole, losing a non-conference road game to Babson, 78-54, on Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-2 on the season while the Beavers move to 5-3.
Game Highlights
- Babson came out red hot and Bowdoin came out ice cold as the Beavers jumped ahead and never looked back.
- The Beavers led 17-0 after 5:45 of play in the first half, and extended their lead to 38-18 at halftime.
- Bowdoin rebounded to shoot 43% in the second half after connecting on just 26% in the opening stanza, but couldn't get closer than 16 points in the second half.

- Babson finished at 48% shooting for the game, led by 26 points from Colin Bradanese.
- Michael Simonds had 13 points while Xander Werkman had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Polar Bears.
- James McGowan also scored 11 points for Bowdoin.
- The Polar Bears struggled from long distance, shooting just 7-32 (21%) from three-point range in the loss.
