BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team suffered a 3-1 loss to Babson College in the second game of Saturday's Bowdoin-Colby Faceoff.
 
The Polar Bears slip to 0-3-0 on the season. The Beavers improve to 6-1-2.
 
Game Highlights

• The Beavers scored all three of their goals in the first period. Hunter Garlasco got the game going with a tally at 8:53 and Ryan Black added a second at 12:57.
• With 19 seconds remaining in the first, Chris Rooney pushed the lead to three in favor of Babson.
• Bowdoin scored on a power play with 2:16 remaining in the second. Andy Stoneman took a shot on net, charging hard toward net. Jimmy Duffy tracked down the rebound and put the puck past Brad Arvanitis.

 
By the Numbers

• Arvanitis ended the day with 25 saves.
• Alex Kozic made 27 stops in net for Bowdoin.
• Bowdoin went 1-for-4 on the power play.
• Babson was 0-for-4 on the power play.
