Nor'Easters Blows Past Men's Hockey in Tuesday Matchup

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Bowdoin men's hockey team suffered a 6-1 loss to the University of New England on Tuesday evening.
 
The Polar Bears (0-2-0) are still in search of their first win. The Nor'easters climb top 5-1-1-
 
Game Highlights
  • UNE jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period. Ryan Kuzmich and Jared Christy scored goals in the eighth and nineth minutes of the frame. Alexander Vukota scored with 5:25 remaining to send the hosts into the first intermission with a comfortable lead.
  • The Nor'easters went up 5-0 in the first ten minutes of the second, before Bowdoin would spoil the shutout. With under a minute to play in the frame, Cam Berube buried a shot off feeds from Andy Stoneman and Chris Brown.
  • The only goal of the third came on the UNE power play at 9:08.
