Men's Soccer Hits Double Digits in Blowout Win Over Thomas

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's soccer team erupted for ten goals in a 10-0 blowout of Thomas College on Wednesday afternoon at Pickard Field. The Polar Bears, who scored ten goals for the first time since the 2013 season, improve to 9-4-1 with their third straight win while the Terriers fall to 9-3-0.

Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Drake Byrd found Minseo Bae on the far post six minutes into the contest to give the Polar Bears a 1-0 lead.
  • Charlie Ward put home a feed from Ben Brown in the 23rd minute and Harry Cooper added a goal off a curving corner kick in the 31st minute to make it a 3-0 contest.
  • The Polar Bears then rolled off four goals in a six minute span, as Everett Horch continued his scoring streak with a pair of goals in the run.
  • Matthew Braver added the final two before halftime to make it 7-0 Polar Bears at the break.
  • Carlton Steinberg and Alex Chaban netted second half goals, along with an own goal, to make it a 10-0 final score.
