Women's Soccer Earns First NESCAC Win of The Season Against Trinity

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's soccer team scored two first half goals to defeat Trinity 2-0 and secure its first conference win of the season.
 
The Polar Bears are 6-3-0 (1-3-0 NESCAC) on the season. The Bantams suffered their first NESCAC loss of the season and sit at 5-2-1 (1-1-1 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • The Polar Bear scored 19 minutes into the game. Greta Farkas settled the ball at midfield and lofted a pass to far side of the box. Samaya Bernardo one-touched the ball past a defender and into the box before burying a top shelf shot.
  • Lynn Farquhar doubled Bowdoin's goal tally with ten minutes remaining in the half. Isa Quintana put a ball on net that forced Trinity's Jennifer Stuart to make a diving save. Farquhar rushed the loose rebound and put away a stutter step left footed goal.
 
By the Numbers
  • Bowdoin held a 14-10 edge in shots and 8-3 corner kick advantage.
  • Jennifer Stuart made five saves.
  • Alex Arndt made one stop in the first half for Bowdoin. Penny Rocchio made two saves in the second half.
