BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's squash team won its first round match at the 2020 NESCAC Tournament on Friday, 8-1, over Hamilton College.

The Polar Bears advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament on Saturday where they will face second-seeded Williams at 12:30 p.m. at the Lubin Family Squash Center.

Match Highlights

• Bowdoin built a 6-0 lead after the first two waves to clinch the victory early.
• Five of the Polar Bears' eight match wins came via 3-0 decisions, including sweeps from Tyler Shonrock, Gannon Leech, Henry Somerby, Drew Clark and Ishaan George.
• Bowdoin's other wins came via 3-1 scores as John Milligan, Adham Sobhy and Carson Claar rounded out the Polar Bear victors.
