Late Weatherall Goal Lifts Men's Soccer Past Owls

KEENE, N.H. – Hayden Weatherall scored in the final ten minutes of regulation to earn a 1-0 non-conference win for the Bowdoin men's soccer team at Keene State on Sunday.

The Polar Bears picked up their second win off the weekend to improve to 5-1-3. The Owls are 7-2-0.

Game Highlights

  • The Owls outshot Bowdoin 7-5 in the first half and forced Michael Webber to make saves on the game's first three shots. Webber made five first half saves to keep the game tied 0-0.
  • Keene State stepped up the offensive pressure in the second, owning a 6-1 shot advantage, but it was Bowdoin's Weatherall who found the back of the net with 9:10 to play.
  • Alex Chaban launched a corner kick into the box where Weatherall headed the ball in for a 1-0 lead.
  • Webber made two more saves to preserve the shutout and secure the win.
