BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin and Hamilton men's soccer teams played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer en route to a 0-0 double overtime tie on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (5-1-4, 1-1-4 NESCAC) and Continentals (3-5-1, 1-3-1 NESCAC) played an even match across the board.
Game Highlights
- Jose Torres tested Bowdoin's Michael Webber with a shot in the 14th minute, while Charlie Ward put a ball towards Thomas Benson six minutes later.
- Bowdoin had a corner kick in the final minute of the first half, but the Continentals were able to clear out the threat and send the teams into halftime tied 0-0.
- The teams again traded shots in the second half, but neither team was able to convert.
- Three minutes into overtime, Webber came out to making a shutdown save on Aidan Wood coming into the box.
- The Polar Bears responded a minute later as Harry Cooper put a ball into the waiting hands of Benson.
- The only shot of the second overtime came as Jefri Schmidt again challenged Webber, only to have the first-year swallow up bid.
