BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's swimming & diving team will compete at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship this weekend at Middlebury College in Vermont.
The Polar Bears are coming off a program-best fourth-place finish at the 2018 championship, when they scored a program-record 976.5 points.
Swimmers to watch this weekend for Bowdoin include Coleman Komishane, who owns the conference's top time in the 500 freestyle this winter (4:37.77) and Daniel Williams, who is the top seed in the 1000 freestyle (9:44.24). Senior Karl Sarier shouldn't be counted out, either, as last year's Swimmer of the Meet looks to defend his NESCAC titles in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 200 IM.
Competition on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday begins with preliminary heats at 10 a.m. Finals are scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. All tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets for Thursday evening's session are $5 for adults and $3 for children and students. Tickets for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are $8 per session for adults and $3 per session for children and students. Doors will open 60 minutes prior to the preliminaries and finals.
