Box Score NEW LONDONG, Conn. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team ended the season with a 7-3 loss to Connecticut College on Saturday evening.
The Polar Bears end the season just outside a playoff berth (8-16-0, 5-13-0 NESCAC). The Camels end the regular season at 10-10-4 (9-5-4 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- The Camels scored quickly, just 1:09 into the game, off a goal by Paul Capozzi.
- Cody Todesco tallied an equalizer at 8:08, but Chris Jellison responded a minute later to regain the lead.
- The two teams again traded goals in the opening five minutes of the second frame as Connecticut College stretched its lead to 3-1 off Greg Pezza's goal. Seth Cooper cut the Camels advantage back to one.
- Connecticut College rattled off three unanswered goals enter the second intermission with a 6-2 lead.
- Thomas Dunleavy cut the lead in half with a power play goal 3:05 into the final frame.
- Matt Gaetz put away an empty-netter with under two minutes to play.
