LEWISTON, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's squash team suffered an 8-1 setback to Bates in its season-opener on Wednesday night.

The Polar Bears (0-1) are ranked 26^th the latest College Squash Association poll while Bates (2-1) is ranked 18^th.

Match Highlights

• John Milligan captured a 3-2 (11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 10-12, 11-9) win to account for the lone Bowdoin point in the loss.
• Satya Butler (3-1) at #3 and Tyler Shonrock (3-1) at #5 also earned set wins despite losing their matches against the Bobcats.
