Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine – Sean Ross scored with four seconds remaining in regulation to give the Wesleyan men's ice hockey team a late 2-1 victory over visiting Bowdoin on Friday evening.
The Polar Bears drop their fourth NESCAC game since winter break to fall to (4-10-0, 2-7-0). Wesleyan climbs to (7-2-3, 3-2-2).
Game Highlights
- Neither team could find the back of the net through the first two periods of Friday's game. Spencer Antunez broke through 5:34 into the third for Bowdoin. The senior charged down the right wing and looked to wrap around the back of the net. Before curling behind Wesleyan's net, Antunez put away a no angle shot. Austin Ricci was credited with the assist.
- Wesleyan knotted the game at 1-1 with 10:18 remaining. Following a faceoff in the left circle in Bowdoin's zone, Vincent Lima fired the puck on net and past Erik Wurman.
- Ross scored the game winner with four seconds remaining from the left point. His shot rose through traffic and deflected off Wurman before finding the net.
