WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Karl Sarier captured an individual NESCAC title in the 200 yard freestyle as the Bowdoin men's swimming & diving team finished sixth overall at the NESCAC Championship.
The Williams men's team won its 14th consecutive conference title, 15th overall, while the Polar Bears matched last year's finish with a sixth place showing with 834.5 points.
Meet Highlights
- Sarier set new school records in both the 100 and 200 free. The first-year won the 200 with a 1:39.70, while finishing third overall in the 100 free (45.48).
- Sarier also set a new school record with his second place finish in the 200 yard IM at 1:51.22.
- Michael Netto also broke a pair of school records in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke. The sophomore finished fourth overall in both events, setting new marks in the 100 (56.49) and 200 (2:03.67).
- Bowdoin's 400 free relay also rewrote the record book with a 3:05.92. John Lagasse and Will Hutchinson joined Netto and Sarier to make up the team.
