NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team secured the number three seed in the NESCAC playoffs following a 4-3 win over Connecticut College to conclude the regular season.

The Polar Bears are riding a ten game unbeaten streak that included wins over nationally ranked opponents, to conclude the regular season at 13-7-4 (9-5-4 NESCAC). The Camels season concludes at 3-18-3 (0-15-3 NESCAC). 

Game Highlights

• Matthew Lison netted Bowdoin's first goal of the game 3:24 into the contest off a feed from Matt Rubinoff.
• The Camels responded with an equalizer in the eighth minute by Matt Michaud.
• Chris Fenwick buried a late first period goal with 2:34 remaining to sent the Polar Bears into the intermission with a 2-1 lead.
• Bowdoin extended its lead with Cody Todesco goal 4:12 into the second period, set up by Mitch Barrington's second assist of the afternoon.
• Connecticut College tallied back-to-back goals in the second half of the middle frame to even the score at 3-3 going to the second break.
• Rubinoff's goal with 3:13 remaining in regulation spoiled the Camels bid for an upset.

By the Numbers

• Peter Cronin ended the day with 23 stops in net for Bowdoin.
• Tom Conlin made 26 saves for Connecticut College.
• Bowdoin went 0-for-2 on the power play.
• The Camels were 1-for-4 on the power play.
