Box Score MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team forced overtime with a goal in the final two minutes of regulation as the Polar Bears skated to a 4-4 tie at Tufts.
Bowdoin remains unbeaten in its last nine games with a 12-7-4 (8-5-4 NESCAC) record heading into tomorrow's regular season finale. The Jumbos sit at 9-8-6 (5-7-5 NESCAC) heading into their final game.
Game Highlights
- Matt Rubinoff put Bowdoin on the board 3:41 into the game with an unassisted tally.
- Tufts responded in the 10th minute as Nick Abbene put the puck away off feeds from Matt Pugh and Conal Lynch.
- Joseph Lace gave the Polar Bears a 2-1 lead heading into the first intermission with an assist by Mitch Barrington with 42 seconds remaining in the period.
- The Jumbos came out and tied the game 4:33 into the second frame as Brian Brown tallied the period's lone goal.
- Spencer Antunez gave Bowdoin its third lead of the evening 49 seconds into the final period, with Barrington tallying his second assist of the evening.
- Dan Kelly scored less than a minute later and Lynch scored for Tufts again at 5:59 to give the Jumbos a 4-3 edge over Bowdoin.
- Rubinoff and Camil Blanchet set up the tying goal by Matthew Melanson in the final 1:42 of play.
