MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team was unable to hold on to a two goal lead as Wesleyan came back to force overtime in a 3-3 tie Friday night.

The Polar Bears sit at 4-6-3 (2-4-3 NESCAC) on the season. The Cardinals are still in search of their first win at 0-7-6 (0-2-5 NESCAC).

Game Highlights

• Wesleyan jumped out to an early lead with a goal by James Kline 1:07 into the first period.
• Bradley Potter responded with under four minutes remaining in the opening frame. Jay Kourkoulis and Mitch Barrington were credited with helpers on the first-year's goal.
• Barrington had a hand in Chris Wallace's goal 3:10 into the second, putting Bowdoin up 2-1 for the Polar Bears' first lead of the evening.
• Daniel McMullan was credited with an assist on Wallace's goal and tallied his second helper of the evening exactly two minutes later on Cody Todesco's goal.
• Wesleyan scored two goals in the opening five minutes of the third period to force overtime. Kline added an assist on each of the goals.

• Peter Cronin ended the day with 35 stops in net for the Polar Bears
• Dawson Sprigings made 31 stops for Wesleyan
• Bowdoin was 0-for-1 on the power play
