WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's squash team defeated Amherst, 5-4, to claim seventh place at this weekend's NESCAC Tournament.
After a 2-2 performance this weekend the Polar Bears stand at 4-14 this season and will compete at the CSA Team Championships in two weeks, beginning on Feb. 20.
Bowdoin avenged an early-season loss to Amherst on Sunday, getting a huge 3-2 win from Maxwell Bearse at #3 in the closest match of the afternoon to seal the victory. Andrew Ward picked up a 3-0 win at #4, Alex Reisley won 3-0 at #6, Cyrus Nassikas took a 3-1 victory at #7 and Michael DeFranco won 3-1 at #9 to account for the Bowdoin points.
