Men's Swimming and Diving Competes at Maine Event

LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's swimming and diving team competed at the Maine Event on Saturday at Bates College.

In a non-scoring meet, the Polar Bears had a trio of winners, led by Peter Deardorff, who won the 200 butterfly (1:59.49) and 200 freestyle (1:49.95) events. JR Chansakul also placed first in the 200 IM (2:00.25) while Andrew Park took the 200 backstroke (1:59.05).

The women's team did not compete in the event as they will open competition at the NESCAC Championship on Friday at Wesleyan. The men's team will next compete in their NESCAC Championship on February 20 at Middlebury.
