NEWPORT, R.I. - The Bowdoin College women's basketball found its way back to the win column in a convincing 65-39 win at Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 2-2 this season while the Seahawks fall to 1-5. Bowdoin moves to 8-0 all-time against Salve Regina

Game Highlights

• The Polar Bears had 13 different players score as they never trailed, jumping out to a 13-0 lead after just three minutes
• Bowdoin led 21-7 after one quarter and 36-17 at halftime
• Eight Polar Bears scored at least five points, led by Shannon Brady's 10 points
• Kate Kerrigan and Lydia Caputi had eight points apiece. Kerrigan led Bowdoin with eight rebounds and five assists
• The Polar Bears held Salve Regina to just 22.6% shooting for the game, and 1-11 (9.1%) from three-point range
• Bowdoin held a 51-40 edge in rebounds and got 33 points from their bench, led by seven from Abigail Kelly
