Box Score BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team fell 8-3 in a Tuesday night non-conference game at the University of New England.
The Polar Bears are still searching for their first win, sitting at 0-2-1 on the season. The Nor'Easters collect their second win of 2015 with a 2-4-1 overall record.
Game Highlights
- UNE took a 1-0 lead in the first period after Brady Fleurent broke through with 5:56 remaining in the opening frame. The Nor'Easters added their second of the game midway through the second off a shot from Tom Gilbersleeve.
- Bowdoin cut the Nor'Easters lead in half one minute later as Chris Wallace tallied a goal off a feed from Bradley Potter. The Nor'Easters responded with their third goal of the game with under three remaining in the period.
- The Nor'Easters tallied five consecutive goals in the third period, extending their lead to 8-1 before Bowdoin would respond. The Polar Bears chipped away at their seven goal deficit with a pair of goals from Matthew Lison and Camil Blanchet to close out the game.
