Men's Swimming and Diving Opens 2015-16 in Dual Meet

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin swimming and diving teams opened the 2015-16 season in dual meet with MIT and WPI at home on Saturday afternoon.

Women's Meet

  • The Polar Bears split the day with a 189-111 win over WPI, while falling 195-105 against MIT.
  • Ally Fromson-Ho touched the wall first in the 200 yard butterfly (2:12.13), finishing three seconds faster than the second place finisher.
  • Christine Anderson took a first place finish in the 1 meter.
  • Sterling Dixon joined Fromson-Ho as first-year top-finisher. Dixon finished the 200 IM in 2:09.24.

Men's Meet

  • The men's team fell to MIT 240-54 and dropped to a closer matchup with WPI (168-130).
  • Bowdoin had a pair of top performers in the dual meet. Karl Sarier took first in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing 1:42.97.
  • First-year Mitchell Ryan captured his first collegiate win in 3 meter diving.
