Men's Squash Downs Dickinson in Season-Opening Weekend

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Bowdoin College men's squash team won its first match of the season against Dickinson to cap an opening weekend of play at Franklin & Marshall.

The 22nd-ranked Polar Bears (1-2) lost to 10th-ranked Franklin & Marshall (9-0) and 9th-ranked Drexel (9-0) before rebounding to bounce 29th-ranked Dickinson (7-2).

Weekend Highlights

  • Despite the loss to top-ten Drexel, Bowdoin's Henry Haig was able to grab a victory for the Polar Bears, capturing a 3-2 decision (4-11, 11-9, 11-9, 6-11, 11-7) at number nine
  • The Polar Bears found their stride against Dickinson, getting four 3-0 sweeps from Ian Squiers at number five, George Cooley at number six, Satya Butler at number eight and Arjun Dravid at number nine
  • Christian Dorff, Benjamin Bristol and Sebastian Kim all won 3-1 matches at number two, four and seven, respectively
