BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams sunk Trinity in their first home meet of the season on Saturday at Greason Pool.
The Polar Bear men picked up a 220.00-32.00 victory while the Polar Bear women earned a 175.00-51.00 win over the Bantams.
The Bowdoin men were unbeaten on the afternoon and had 10 individual winners in the competition. Multiple winners included Logan House (50 butterfly, 100 butterfly), Timothy Long (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle) and Tom Kramer (one and three-meter dive). Other first-place finishers included Nathan Garner (50 backstroke), Mike Netto (50 breaststroke), Will Hutchinson (50 freestyle), McClure Brower (200 IM), John Lagasse (100 freestyle), Chris Warren (100 backstroke) and JR Chansakul (100 breaststroke). Bowdoin's 200 freestyle relay team of Lagasse, Hutchinson, House and Lyle Anderson was also victorious.
On the women's side, Mariah Rawding posted a hat trick of wins, claiming the 50 backstroke, the 100 backstroke and the 100 freestyle. Katherine Kronick won both the 50 and 100 butterfly races while Erin Houlihan won the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle. Sophia Walker claimed the 200 IM and Caroline Watt won the 500 freestyle. The 200 freestyle relay squad of Holly Rudel, Walker, Bridget Killian and Lela Garner also earned a first-place finish.
The Polar Bears are back in the pool tomorrow as they host Wesleyan for a meet beginning at noon.
