Captains Rally Bowdoin to Victory Over Amherst in Season Finale

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's squash teams got a pair of late wins from captains Stephan Danyluk and Andrew Ward to finish their season with a 5-4 win over Amherst and end the season ranked 21st in the nation.

The Polar Bears complete their year with a record of 11-11 and win the consolation bracket of the Summers Cup Division at CSA Nationals.

Maxwell Bearse (3-2), William Winmill (3-1) and Cyrus Nassikas (3-0) completed perfect 3-0 weekends by earning their third wins in as many days at the #6, #7 and #9 positions to account for Bowdoin's early points.

The Jeffs responded with a quartet of wins of their own to take a 4-3 advantage heading into the final two matches of the day at #1 and #4.

Almost concurrently, Ward completed a come-from-behind 3-1 win at #4 and Danyluk completed a 3-1 win at #1 to clinch the victory for the Polar Bears.
