CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's and women's swimming and diving team took part in the highly-competitive MIT Invitational last weekend against some of the best competition in the Northeast.
Bowdoin's top finish came from men's diver Tom Kramer, who placed second in both the one-meter (302.80) and three-meter (254.75) events. William Shi also carded a strong finish in the 50 freestyle, taking fifth place in 21.39.
On the women's side, Bowdoin collected a trio of fifth-place finishes. Caroline Watt was fifth in the 1650 freestyle (18:17.57), Sophia Walker took fifth in 400 individual medley (4:43.17) and Sage Mikami finished 5th in both the one-meter dive (208.10) and three-meter dive (230.90).
The Polar Bears are off until after winter break as they will return to action on January 10 with a meet at Worcester Polytechnic Institute beginning at 2:00 p.m.
