Baseball Splits Wednesday Doubleheader Against Rutgers-Camden

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Bowdoin College baseball team split a Wednesday double-header against Rutgers-Camden, taking the first game 6-4 before dropping the second 11-2.
 
The Polar Bears are now 7-5 while the Raptors finish the day with an 8-6 record.

In Bowdoin's 6-4 victory, the Polar Bears combined 11 hits and clean fielding to hand Christian Martin his second win of the season. Oliver Van Zant accounted for three Bowdoin hits, going 3-4. Tim McGarry went 2-3 with an RBI, walk, and stolen base. Cole DiRoberto had two hits and drove in a run contributing to the Bowdoin victory.

The Raptors answered Bowdoin with a 11-run performance in the nightcap. The Polar Bears combined for eight hits, producing two runs, with an RBI from McGarry.

Bowdoin will close out their Florida trip with a doubleheader against Framingham State on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
