BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's squash team closed
out their regular season in a convincing 8-1 win over Colby at the
Lubin Squash Center on Tuesday evening. The Polar Bears, ranked
15th in the nation, improve to 12-9 this season. The 22nd-ranked
Mules fall to 10-13 with the loss.
With the lone loss coming at the number one position, Bowdoin
dominated the four through nine spots as each player earned a 3-0
win. Peter Cipriano, Arun Makhija, Rahul Madan Mohan, Thai Ha-Ngoc,
Rob Stanley and Elliot Beck each blanked their Colby opponent to
gain a point for the hosts, who also received a 3-1 win at number
three from Andrew Bernard and a 3-2 win at the second spot from
David Funk.
Both teams will return to action at the Team National Tournament
that begins on February 19 at Yale. Pairings will be announced as
the tournament date gets closer.
