Routh and Mecray Collect Honors as Swimmers Shatter Marks at NESCAC's

COMPLETE RESULTS

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Bowdoin College men's swimming and diving team finished 10th at the NESCAC Championships hosted by Wesleyan University last weekend.

Mac Routh and Nathan Mecray both earned All-Conference honors courtesy of their performances at the event. Nathan Mecray finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke, just .51 seconds off the winning pace. His pace of 57.53 set a new school record in the process. Routh collected a third place finish in the 50 yard butterfly (22.67) to set a new school record in the event.

Routh also finished fifth in the 100 yard fly (50.81) while Max Goldstein set a new program mark in the 200 individual medley, posting a time of 1:55.22 to earn fifth place overall.

Bowdoin's best relay team of the competition was the 200 yard medley squad of Routh, Josh Kimball, Nathan Mecray and Blake Wheale finished sixth and set a new school record in a time of 1:35.62.
