WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin College squash team edged Colby 5-4 in a match between the NESCAC rivals played on Wednesday evening. The Polar Bears improve to 5-8 this season and have won four of their last six matches overall. The Polar Bears will host Bates in a match on Thursday evening.

The middle of the ladder carried the day for Bowdoin, as Peter Cipriano captured a 3-0 win at the number three spot to lead a group of strong showings. Rahul Madan Mohan (#4), Thai Ha-ngoc (#5) and Robert Lynn (#6) also earned 3-0 sweeps to put the Polar Bears one point shy of victory.

The final match came down to Andy Bernard in the number two slot. Bernard rallied from a 2-1 deficit to capture a match-clinching 3-2 victory and a 5-4 overall win for Bowdoin.
