Kristin Hanczor

Kristin Hanczor joined the Bowdoin volleyball staff in thesummer of 2014.

A 2012 graduate of Bowdoin, Hanczor was a two-year captain forthe Polar Bears, and became the first Polar Bear women's volleyballplayer to earn AVCA Division III All-American honors following asensational senior campaign in the fall of 2011. She was namedNESCAC Co-Player of the Year, led the team to 27 victories and itsonly NESCAC Championship, and finished as the school's all-timeleader in blocks (401) and second in kills (1,119).

After graduation, Kristin moved to New York City to work forEdelman in their Business & Social Purpose department where sheassisted clients in communicating about their corporateresponsibility and sustainability efforts. She then moved toPortland, Maine in early 2014 to be the Sustainability Intern atThornton Tomasetti, where she collaborated with employees from allover the world to green the internal business practices of thecompany.

As she returns to Bowdoin as the assistant volleyball coach,Kristin will also be the Sustainability Outreach Coordinator forthe College and will work with students and staff towards theschool's goal of carbon neutrality by 2020.
