Briana Bruinooge

Briana is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) with a strong track record working with Bowdoin College athletes since 2019. With years of experience, she helps athletes from all sports fuel their bodies optimally to support high-level performance, prevent injuries, and maintain energy all season long.

Her approach goes beyond basic nutrition guidance: Briana breaks down nutrition myths and replaces them with practical, science-backed strategies to optimize strength, endurance, and mental focus. She helps athletes develop a mindset where food is both a powerful source of fuel and a key part of recovery. Whether it’s building performance nutrition plates around a packed schedule or suggesting filling snacks to prevent mid-practice crashes, Briana gives athletes the tools they need to stay ahead of hunger and fatigue and perform at their peak.

Briana realizes that food can be difficult for more than one reason. She provides athletes with tools to build a positive relationship with food and body image. Her mission is to show athletes that fueling well isn’t just about better performance and staying free from injury, but also about enjoying their sport, school, and life to the fullest.
