Brendan McClintick

Brendan McClintick

Brendan McClintick has served as head coach of the Bowdoin men’s and women’s squash programs since 2024 after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for the Polar Bears. A former collegiate squash captain at Connecticut College, McClintick brings extensive playing, coaching and youth development experience to Bowdoin and holds the highest-level coaching certification offered by US Squash. During his tenure on the Bowdoin coaching staff, both programs have enjoyed success on the national stage, including a Conroy Cup Division championship for the men and multiple Kurtz Cup appearances for the women.

At Bowdoin

  • Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Squash since 2024.
  • Served as assistant coach for both programs from 2021–24.
  • Was a member of the coaching staff when the Bowdoin men earned a NESCAC runner-up finish in 2021–22.
  • Coached the men’s team to the Conroy Cup Division championship at the 2023 College Squash Association National Championships.
  • Has overseen a women’s program that has consistently ranked among the nation’s top 20 and made multiple appearances in the Kurtz Cup Division at nationals.
  • Has maintained the men’s program’s consistent presence among the nation’s top 25 teams.

  • Spent five years at Capitol Squash, a nonprofit organization using squash and educational opportunities to support the development of young people.

Education & Certifications

  • Connecticut College, 2016 — Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience.
  • US Squash Level III Coach Certification, the highest coaching certification level offered by US Squash.
  • Certified Junior Squash Tournament Director.

Athletic Career

  • Four-year member of the men’s squash program at Connecticut College.
  • Two-time team captain for the Camels.
  • Progressed from the bottom of the Connecticut College lineup as a first-year to the No. 1 position as a senior.
