Aoyagi joined Bowdoin in the summer of 2021 from Blinn (Texas) College, where was the redshirt program coordinator and defensive backs coach after spending one year as the defensive backs quality control coach at Oregon State University. Prior to OSU, Aoyagi totaled 14 seasons as a high school football coach with nine seasons spent as an offensive coordinator and five as a defensive coordinator in Arizona and Hawaii. Aoyagi is a graduate of Weber State University, where he graduated with a degree in physical education. He will lead the safeties for the Polar Bears.
