BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin sailing team won the Harman Cup and posted three additional top-four finishes to highlight a busy weekend of competition across New England.

The Polar Bears captured the Harman Cup at Maine Maritime Academy, while finishing fourth at both the Harvard Invitational and Charles River Invitational. Bowdoin also placed eighth at the Toni Deutsch Trophy at MIT and 11th at the Harry Anderson Trophy at Yale.

Weekend Highlights

• Harman Cup – 1st Place: Bowdoin's Lucca Antonietti, Yasmine Nee, Noah Reischmann and Henry Ladd claimed the Harman Cup at Maine Maritime. With the victory, the Polar Bears qualified for the New England Match Race Championship, which will be held at Corinthian Yacht Club in two weeks.
• Charles River Invitational – 4th of 15: Shea McGrath and Eve Cintron won the A Division to lead Bowdoin to a fourth-place overall finish at Harvard. Caroline O'Hara and Char Wilkin also competed for the Polar Bears.
• Harvard Invitational – 4th of 6: Bowdoin earned another fourth-place finish behind the efforts of Cole Amaral, Eve Cintron, Owen Warren, Ela Murat, Georgia Neaderland and Charlie Conover.
• Toni Deutsch Trophy – 8th of 17: The Polar Bear women's team turned in a strong showing in its first major intersectional competition of the season, taking eighth in the 17-team field at MIT. Rebecca Schill, Maggie Tripp, Mairead Reitzel and Posie Cabaniss represented Bowdoin.
• Harry Anderson Trophy – 11th of 17: Bowdoin also competed at Yale, with Michelangelo Vecchio, Maizie Bartlett, Elizabeth Wire, Ryan Keenan, Hazel Johnson and Owen Benison representing the Polar Bears.
