BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team remained unbeaten, pulling away in the third quarter for a 12-9 win over Amherst on Saturday afternoon at Whittier Field.
The second-ranked Polar Bears improve to 8-0 (5-0 NESCAC) while the 13
th-ranked Mammoths fall to 3-4 (2-2 NESCAC).

- Bowdoin never trailed, but couldn't put away the pesky Mammoths as Amherst stayed within striking distance throughout the contest.
- Two first half goals from Chris Berry gave Bowdoin a slim 5-4 edge at halftime, but the Mammoths quickly tied the game at 5-5 early in the third stanza.
- Casey Ryan sparked the game's decisive run for Bowdoin, scoring two straight goals and keying a 6-2 surge by the Polar Bears that pushed their advantage to four goals, 11-7 early in the fourth quarter.
