BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of
Cal Connelly as assistant coach for the men's basketball program.
Connelly joins Bowdoin after serving as a coaching associate with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2024-25 season, where he contributed to video coordination, opponent scouting, film analysis, and on-court practice sessions.
He began his collegiate coaching career at Roger Williams University in 2023-24, helping lead the Hawks to their first Commonwealth Coast Conference title since 1999 and a historic NCAA Division III Tournament appearance. He has also worked as a Skill Development Trainer with Elevate Academy and Integrity Hoops in New Hampshire.
A 2023 graduate of Assumption University, Connelly was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the men's basketball team. He holds a B.S. in Business Management with a minor in Sport Management.
