BRUNSWICK, Maine – A pair of Polar Bears have been recognized in postseason honors handed out by the New England Small College Athletic Conference and in All-Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association.
Senior
Anna Paulmann (Fairfield, Conn.) was named Second Team All-NESCAC and Second Team All-Pilgrim Region while senior
Lauren Burke (Wellesley, Mass.) collected Second Team All-Pilgrim Region honors as well for the Polar Bears.
Paulmann, a defender, led Bowdoin with 29 caused turnovers this spring as was second on the squad with 25 ground balls. Her 29 caused turnovers were tied for tenth in a single-season in program history. A starter in all 15 games this season, Paulmann ends her career with 56 caused turnovers to rank 8
th all-time in Bowdoin history.
Burke was Bowdoin's leading scorer this spring, totaling 45 goals and eight assists for 53 points. Her eight goals against Roger Williams were tied for second in a single game in program history and she scored more than five goals in a game on four occasions this year. Burke finishes her career with 89 goals, 24 assists, and 113 points.
