Women's Lacrosse Falls to Tufts in Regular Season Finale

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team saw its season come to an end in a 22-11 loss to Tufts on Wednesday night. The Polar Bears conclude their season with a record of 6-9 (2-8 NESCAC) while the Jumbos earn the second seed in the NESCAC Tournament with a mark of 14-1 (9-1 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin led the second-ranked Jumbos after one quarter of play as Lauren Burke scored four times to give the visitors a 6-5 edge.
  • The Polar Bears maintained a 7-6 lead midway through the second quarter until a decisive Tufts run put the Jumbos ahead for good.
  • Tufts scored the final six goals of the half to take a 12-7 lead at the break and then opened the third quarter on a 4-1 run to push the lead to 16-8.
  • The hosts outscored Bowdoin 6-2 in the final quarter to close out the game.
