Baseball Tops Terriers On Tuesday Evening

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin baseball team remained perfect at home with an 11-6 win over visiting Thomas on Tuesday night.
 
The Polar Bears climb to 15-2 while dropping the Terriers to 3-11.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin put nine runs on the board in the first four innings.
  • Finn Cahill started the Polar Bears off with an RBI single in the first. Will Bordes added an RBI single in the second. Kevin Murray drew a bases-loaded walk, while Lukas Tsai tagged a two-run single.
  • In the third, Gran Collins doubled to right center and plated a runner. Collins later scored on a Liam Foley groundout.
  • A Chris Dirks double down the left field line in the fourth and a Will Cooke single down the right field line each drove in a run.
  • Thomas kept the game tight with a six-run fifth inning.
  • Tsai recorded another RBI in the seventh and Cahill scored later on a wild pitch.
 
By the Numbers
  • Tsai and Bordes both had two-hit games. Tsai led the way with a pair of stolen bases.
  • Rudy Gately went three innings on the mound and allowed one hit with a pair of strikeouts.
  • Five Bowdoin pitchers threw innings four through eight.
  • The staff combined for eight walks and four strikeouts.
