BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team saw its season end in a 2-1 overtime loss at home to Tufts on Saturday evening.
The Polar Bears end the season with a 9-13-3 overall record after earning the four seed for the conference tournament. The Jumbos continue on to the semifinals with an 11-12-1 record.
Game Highlights
- The Jumbos struck first with under five minutes elapsed time. Max Resnick cycled the puck to Tyler Sedlak behind the red line who passed up to Harrison Bazianos. Bazianos fired off a quick shot over Jacob Osborne's left shoulder.
- Bowdoin answered midway through the period. Gabe Shipper intercepted a Tufts pass and turned toward the net before firing a shot. Luke Wheeler cleaned up the rebound to tie the game.
- Bowdoin's best chance in overtime came as Gabe Shipper attempted to jam home the puck from directly in front of the goal mouth.
- The Jumbos won the game over 16 minutes into overtime as Jon Horn found Trace Norwell in the middle for a one-timer.
