BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team finished its season with an 87-43 setback to Trinity College on Saturday afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium. The tenth-ranked Bantams head into the conference tournament with a record of 21-3 (8-2 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears end their year with a mark of 11-13 (1-9 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights

• The Trinity defense was the story in the opening half, as they held Bowdoin to 24% shooting from the field and 19 points, building a 37-19 lead at the break.
• Jarrel Okorougo scored 14 first half points for the Bantams, who connected on 57% from the field in the period.
• It was more of the same in the second half as the Bantams hit five three-pointers to pull away for the victory.

• Ray Cuevas concluded a fantastic first-year campaign with 12 points while Nolan Bessire had nine points and nine rebounds.
• Bowdoin ended at 24% shooting for the contest.
• James McGowan ended his Bowdoin career with four points, and 970 for his career as a Polar Bear, ranking eighth all-time at Bowdoin with 159 three-pointers.
• Senior Afamdi Achufusi finishes his career with a six-point performance and ended his time at Bowdoin with over 600 points, 400 rebounds, 200 assists, and among the program's leaders with 105 career steals.
