Men's Soccer Blows Past Bantams In 3-0 Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's soccer team secured a 3-0 win over Trinity on Saturday.
 
The Polar Bears climb to 7-2-2 (3-2-2 NESCAC), while keeping the Bantams winless in conference play (3-5-2, 0-5-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Adam Prince scored the first goal of the day in the 17th minute. Prince connected with a rebound off the goalie's hands to put the ball into the net from the left post.
  • Tyler Hucke doubled Bowdoin's lead just a few minutes later. Huck successfully converted a penalty kick.
  • Huck scored his second of the game in the latter half of the second. William Fowler got the Polar Bears started with a big boot up the right sideline. Max Cook received the ball and found Huck toward the middle. Huck worked around a pair of defenders and sliced a low shot through.
 
By the Numbers
  • Bowdoin held a 9-2 edge in shots and 5-1 shots on goal advantage.
  • Alex Ainsworth made one save for the shutout.
  • Bowdoin lined up six corner kicks and allowed one.
  • Nate Dyott made a pair of stops.
