Second Half Goal Lifts Men's Soccer Past Lyons

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Tyler Huck scored midway through the second half to lift the nationally-ranked Bowdoin men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over visiting Wheaton on Tuesday night.
 
The Polar Bears remain unbeaten at 4-0-1, while dropping the Lyons to 3-3-1.
 
Game Highlights
  • Five minutes into the second half, Felipe Rueda Duran looked to give Bowdoin the lead as he wove through traffic in the box to launch a shot on net. The ball narrowly missed the top right corner as the game remained scoreless.
  • In the 60th minute, Huck broke the deadlock. A feed from the left corner found Keito Ishibashi in front of the net. Ishibashi heeled the ball back to Huck who fired a ball through traffic, skimming across the turf.

  • Michael O'Gara made six saves to keep the Lyons in the game.
  • Alex Ainsworth made a pair of stops to earn the shutout.
  • Bowdoin held a 7-2 shots on goal advantage.
